This year we celebrate 800 years of the Magna Carta and Lincoln proudly holds one of the original copies. The Magna Carta was drafted by Stephen Langton the Archbishop of Canterbury to bring peace between the unpopular King John and the Barons, it was signed by King John on June 15th 1215 at Runnymede. Part of the celebrations in Lincoln is the Baron Trail. You can follow a trail of King John's 25 Barons - painted sculptures will be stationed around Lincoln.
