Street Pastors were started over 10 years ago by the Rev Les Isaac O.B.E - an interdominal group of people that go out on the streets at night to help and engage with people. Mike came equipped with his blue ruck sack, like Mary Poppins he kept delving into it. He carries bottled water, foil blankets, flip flops, dust pan and brush ( to sweep up broken glass), sick bags, Spikeys, gloves, tissues and a basic first aid kit and in the bottom a small Bible in case its ever needed. Although they are from a religious background they are not out there to give their religious views. They'll help anyone and have often diffused fights and are ready to help vulnerable people that have found themselves in late night situations. His stories were fascinating. Boston Street Pastors have been working in the town for about 4 years and they go out in groups of 3/4 every Friday and saturday night including Christmas and New Years Eve.
A wonderful selection of 'Cups and Saucers' were brought in for the competition.
