Sibsey WI now has a Facebook page.
There was a warm welcome for everyone that attended our promotional evening.
Our September meeting was our Craft and Produce Show and our speaker was MD Rob Grundy from Lincolnshire Herbs.
There was a very good array of entries. Committee arrived early to decorate the Hall.
Members had put a lot of effort in their entries with an array of mouthwatering fruit, vegetables, cakes and biscuits. Beautifully decorated cakes and intricate craft work.
With programmes like the Great Bake Off bringing the delights of food craft much more into the public domain the WI can again stand proud with its wealth of knowledge. But we are much more than Jam and Jerusalem ( though that is our roots), putting emphasis onto Friendship and Fun events. Hoping to encourage younger generations to think about becoming members.
Lincolnshire Herbs are one of the countrys leading potted herb supplier. Based in Bourne they provide culinary herbs to major supermarkets. Free from insecticides.
The Hall had the most wonderful aroma of herbs!
October brings our Harvest Supper and Autumn Auction.
Hope to see you there.
My first quiz night was very enjoyable. The hall was packed and buzzing with the chatter of friendly WI members from around the region. There were 21 teams competing.
We didn't win but came in at a dignified joint 6th.
This month is going to be exciting. We are having our very own Produce and Craft Show.
What wonderful displays will we get.
Our guest speaker is from Bourne Herbs. You are very welcome to come and join in the fun Wednesday at 7.15pm in Sibsey Village Hall. If you can't make it come back in a weeks time and see all our photographs.
Welcome to our blog
The scribblings of a happy member.
