A beautiful sunny and and a walk along the Trader Bank in Sibsey not only did we see a mother swan and her 7 cygnets we also managed to pick enough wild blackberries to make a pie.
Members and visitors alike were treated to a gloriously sunny afternoon allowing them to have tea outside as well as in!
Today was a fundraising day with a difference.
While hostesses happily served tea and cake and others busied themselves with the raffle.
Some took time to look at what was on sale.
Our WI Wardrobe allowed Members to bring good quality items of clothing and accessories and put them up for sale, with our Institute taking a percentage of the cost. A changing room was provided to enable people to try on clothes.
The Billiard room was transformed into colourful bazaar.
We were very lucky to be invited to our Treasurer's house and I was eager to go and visit her beautiful garden and meadow area to count the butterflies.
In the short period I was there I spotted Meadow Brown, Small Tortoiseshells, Gatekeepers, Red Admirals, Small Whites along with numerous bees and other pollinators.
We all had a wonderful and relaxing afternoon in good company and raised a staggering £160.
A big thank you to all that helped and all who came.
