This year sees a journey of the WI Centenary Baton on its journey around Britain. The first WI was formed in Llanfairpwll, Angelsey in 1915. The WI decided to commemorate its Centenary with a baton that would travel around the country. The baton started its 2500 mile journey on 1st January 2014 in Anglesey and will take 18 months - visiting all 69 Federations, finally arriving at the Royal Albert Hall for the AGM in June 2015.
Lincolnshire South receives the baton on June 4th and our celebrations will be held in Boston.
This gives a wonderful opportunity to display the skills and talents of today women. The WI is a fountain of knowledge yet moves with the times - Young and old there is something for everyone.
